About Baby Sensory Boxes

A sensory box is great for encouraging sensory development. The box is filled with everyday household objects and materials that your baby can explore.

When your baby explores the objects they will find out about weight, size, shape, texture, colour and sound. They will also learn about concepts such as big and small and gain an understanding of object permanence as well as a sense of cause and effect. Handling the objects will help develop hand-eye co-ordination and discussing the objects will help promote language development.
